Silo Ornelas
Guitar | Ukulele | Bass Guitar
A passionate and experienced guitar instructor with over 10 years of teaching experience and nearly 30 years of playing. I bring real-world performance experience, playing 10 shows a month, which sets me apart from other instructors. I have built a unique guitar school featuring an edgy guitar room with a performance stage. My comprehensive teaching approach includes private lessons, group lessons, clinics, recitals, and group jams, fostering a vibrant and supportive community for guitar enthusiasts. Dedicated to nurturing musical talent and building a strong community of musicians, I provide a dynamic and engaging learning environment for students of all levels.
David Garcia
Piano | Voice | Trombone
Co-founder of Backstage Music Lessons, David Garcia is a well accomplished piano instructor with a BA in music education and over a decade of experience as a professional musician performing multiple instruments and singing. David caters curriculum to each student for any age, learning type, and genre. David teaches with a deep focus on how music works from its history to the science. Students don't memorize notes and patterns, but grow an understanding of the music through fun and engaging lessons.

Alexis Woods
Violin | Viola
Alexis has 15 years of violin experience. She's currently attending Bakersfield College to finish her degree in music education. She also attends CSUB where she is the Primary 2nd violin for the orchestra, and she coaches violin at five high schools in town. She performs in a jazz ensemble and plays in the pit orchestra for shows like the Nutcracker.

Throughout the years, she has worked with many amazing teachers who fostered her love for the instrument and inspired her to teach others the love of the violin as well.

Ivan Gomez
Bass guitar | Guitar
With 16 years of experience as a musician and 4 years as a dedicated teacher, I specialize in bass, guitar, and music theory instruction. My versatile playing style spans an impressive variety of genres, including rock, jazz, country, blues, reggae, funk, and more. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, I’m passionate about helping students discover their unique sound and achieve their musical goals.
